ENARTE Conference

Ted Decker has been invited to speak about phICA at the ENARTE Conference at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) on July 23 and 24, 2012. This conference attracts 800+ people from throughout Brazil. Decker will speak about phICA as an innovative model for community engagement with visual art. Phoenix-based artist Sue Chenoweth will also speak with artists and art students attending the conference about her experiences as a professional artist.

Residual Benefits Community Roundtable

A lively roundtable discussion for the Phoenix Creative Community focused on the experiences of artists who have attended artist residencies and focused on the value of including artist residencies as a strategy in artists’ professional careers.

Participants include the members of Los Angeles-based artist group Finishing School, Erin Sotak (lives, works in Tempe), Sue Chenoweth, and others. Refreshments provided by Tertio.
