Exhibitions
phICA’s primary educational vehicle is contemporary art exhibitions produced and presented in various venues within the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Between 2013 and 2018, we have presented solo and group exhibits in 3 repurposed shipping containers in the Downtown Phoenix Arts District on Roosevelt Row with acclaimed success. We also have presented exhibitions in satellite locations including Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton’s Offices, Bill’s Custom Frames in Tempe, MCC Art Gallery at Mesa Community College in Mesa, the Phoenix Mexican Consulate, and twice in Tijuana, Baja California, México with our partners CIAAC and Ayuntamento de Tijuana/IMAC.
Exhibitions of art in various venues, some in which encountering art is unexpected, offer portals of entry to large, diverse audiences for engaging with, enjoying, understanding, and interpreting contemporary art and culture.
