Immersive Artist Residency
phICA’s residencies focus on providing a well-rounded and profoundly memorable immersive experiences in a community with the intention of changing ways of thinking about the world and an artist’s place in the global art arena. Unlike many other residency programs, phICA focuses less on art making and more on cultural bridge building between people in order to establish common ground and understanding and to eliminate barriers between people. In addition to meeting and collaborating with community creatives, our artists-in-residence are introduced to a variety of community leaders and people – in business, government, and in academia.
